The Chamber has purchased tickets for Benbrook Night at historical LaGrave Field for some Fort Worth Cats baseball against the Rio Grande Valley White Wings to be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 7:05 pm.  The first pitch will be through by our very own Benbrook City Manager, Andy Wayman!  Furthermore, the national anthem will be sung by Tammy and Katherine Hopkins the daughter and granddaughter of Pam Moore of local business and chamber member, Winscott Road Funeral Home.

Benbrook area residents were able to see, sample and learn about the services and products provided by the home based business owners in our community at the Chamber's first ever Home Based Business Expo held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Benbrook United Methodist Church Gymnasium.  A fantastic variety of vendors participated in the event including services such as window cleaning, identity theft protection, video production, pet caretaking and computer technicians.  Several wonderful products were also available such as jewelry, specialty foods and products, cosmetics and designer bags.

For the first year, the Chamber limited the number of exhibitors to thirty and did not infer a cost to participating members, with only a small fee for nonmembers, until distinguishing what response the expo would receive from the public.  The event was in fact a big success according to our exhibitors and will be brought to the Board of Directors in May for approval of inclusion in next year's budgeting.  The Chamber and it's leadership are eager to bring new value to our members and an even greater support of the local economy and quality of life.  This is only one step to accomplish that vision.
